Lünen/Tel Aviv, October 19, 2023. itemis AG, a leading provider of threat modeling solutions, and Israel's Cybellum Ltd., developer of the award-winning Product Security Platform, announced at the 7th annual Auto ISAC Cybersecurity Summit their partnership to provide comprehensive solutions for cybersecurity in the automotive industry.
Drawing on their respective expertise, the alliance has thus been formed to enable OEMs and Tier-N-suppliers to optimally protect their connected products.
The partnership will combine itemis' TARA (threat analysis and risk assessment) solution with Cybellum's product security platform, which includes SBOM and vulnerability management, compliance validation and incident response and serves as an integral component of Cybersecurity Management Systems (CSMS) based on current regulations.
The common goal of both companies is to share knowledge, align roadmaps and develop joint go-to-market initiatives. Customers will thus be offered a comprehensive and integrated solution to address the growing cybersecurity challenges in the automotive industry through tailored applications and to identify and mitigate risks at every stage of the product lifecycle:
- Optimized traceability:
The solution will automate and improve the traceability of risks, threats and vulnerabilities throughout the product lifecycle, from development to launch. This helps organizations quickly and easily identify and mitigate cyber risks and comply with ISO 21434 guidelines. - Better risk assessment:
Automotive companies gain a more comprehensive view of their cyber risks, providing valuable decision support for minimizing these threats. - Compliance:
The tool enables seamless compliance with applicable cybersecurity regulations, in particular UNECE WP.29 R155.
"We are excited to partner with Cybellum to provide our automotive customers with a state-of-the-art cybersecurity solution," said Jens Wagener, CEO of itemis. "The combination of our TARA solution with the SBOM and vulnerability management solution from Cybellum provides users an optimized offering as the basis for their CSMS and helps to meet the requirements of the ISO 21434- Standard and the WP29 regulation."
"Threat Modeling is becoming more and more important for automotive companies, while SBOM and vulnerability management have also become critical parts of product software quality," said Slava Bronfman, CEO of Cybellum. "The combination of Cybellum's Product Security Platform with itemis' TARA solution will give our customers the visibility and insights they need to identify and mitigate cyber risks throughout the entire product lifecycle."
